At a glance — Only strictly necessary storage runs by default · Analytics (PostHog, hosted in the EU) loads only with your consent in the EU/EEA/UK · No advertising or cross-site tracking · Change or withdraw your consent anytime via Cookie settings.
Last updated: June 2026. “Cookies” here means cookies and equivalent technologies such as localStorage. We only place or read non-essential storage on your device after you have given consent where the law requires it.
How we ask for consent
If you visit from the EU, EEA or the UK, we show a consent banner and load nothing beyond strictly necessary storage until you choose. “Accept all” and “Reject all” are offered as equal options, and you can pick categories individually. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we treat that as a rejection automatically and do not show the banner.
Outside those regions, privacy-friendly analytics may run on the basis of legitimate interest, and you can opt out at any time via Cookie settings.
What we store
Strictly necessary (always active)
These make the site work and remember your privacy choice. They never require consent and are not used for tracking.
- st_consent_v1 — remembers your cookie choice. Stored in localStorage, on your device only. Persists until you clear it or change your settings.
- st_lang — remembers your language choice (English or German). Stored in localStorage, on your device only.
Analytics (consent required in the EU/EEA/UK)
We use PostHog to understand how the site is used — for example which pages are viewed and which links visitors tap (such as the App Store download) — so we can improve it. Our PostHog instance is hosted in the European Union. We do not enable session recording, and we do not use this data for advertising.
- Provider: PostHog (EU region,
eu.i.posthog.com), acting as our data processor under a Data Processing Agreement. - Purpose: aggregate, privacy-respecting product and traffic analytics.
- Storage: PostHog may set first-party cookies and/or localStorage entries to recognise a returning visit. These load only after consent (EU/EEA/UK) or on the basis of legitimate interest elsewhere.
- Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) where required; otherwise legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Marketing (off — reserved for the future)
We currently run no advertising or social-media pixels. If we add them later (for example to measure ad campaigns), they will appear in this category and will load only after you actively consent. This section is listed for transparency.
Things that are not cookies
When you use the contact form, the data you enter is sent to our service provider (Web3Forms) to deliver your message. This is processing, not browser tracking — see our Privacy Policy for details.
